At O'leno Large Animal Veterinary Services, our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of large animals through compassionate care, advanced veterinary practices, and a commitment to excellence. We strive to provide exceptional veterinary care to the communities of North Central Florida for over 18 years and counting. Located in High Springs, FL and owned by Dr. Natalie Lamneck, our practice can be best described as a mobile large animal veterinary practice focused on maintaining your trust and confidence. We understand that your relationship with your animals is unique, and that a one-size-fits-all approach just does not cut it. That is why we pride ourselves on our ability to formulate individualized treatments and health plans that combine your goals with our knowledge and expertise.

At O'Leno Large Animal Veterinary Services, we pride ourselves in our versatility. We are lucky enough to have a highly trained, diverse, and motivated team to be able to provide you and your fur-children the highest level of care. From high-level performance horse sports medicine and lameness, equine reproduction, surgery, and emergencies -- to goat, sheep, and cow vaccinations. Our primary service areas include the areas surrounding High Springs, Alachua, Gainesville, Lake City, Lake Butler, Live Oak, Fort White, Branford, McAlpin, O’Brien, and Bell. We also are branching out and beginning to offer limited services to the Starke, Interlachen, Palatka, Green Cove Springs, and St. Augustine areas.
Our practice offers a wide range of specialized services including dental health, reproduction, rehabilitation, lameness and preventative medicine.

Dr. Natalie Lamneck was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida where she grew up with a wide variety of dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. She knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age and thus, focused her extracurricular activities on 4-H and FFA during her elementary, middle, and high school years. Dr. Lamneck showed horses in 4-H during her high school years in which she honed in on her love of horses. She began her Animal Science studies at the University of Florida in 1998 and graduated with her Poultry Specialization and her Bachelor of Science in 2001. During that time, she held multiple offices in the Block and Bridle Club and served as an Ambassador for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Dr. Lamneck graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After briefly serving as an equine relief veterinarian, Dr. Lamneck started her own ambulatory practice in 2007: O'Leno Large Animal Veterinary Services located in High Springs, Florida. Starting out as mainly a general practice practitioner, Dr. Lamneck also serves as an adjunct professor in the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine's Practice Based Equine Clerkship since its inception. She has hosted a wide variety of veterinary students from all over the country in her practice while helping to mentor students in ambulatory large animal practice.
Dr. Tyler Powers grew up on a cow-calf ranch in Grayling, MI, and obtained his BS in Agriculture and Animal Science at Michigan State University in 2016. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Powers went on to receive his Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2020. After graduation, he opted to head back home where he worked as a mixed-animal veterinarian servicing beef and dairy farms of all sizes in addition to horses, goats and small animals. In late 2021, he moved back to Florida to join our veterinary team.
Dr. Powers professional and medical focuses have continued to evolve to be able to provide the highest level of medicine for our clients. In 2023, he obtained his EVMM (equine chiropractic) degree from the esteemed Chi University, and has pursued extensive continuing education and training in equine lameness and sports medicine. He prides himself in taking a unique approach to lameness that combines traditional modalities with state of the art therapies to provide the best possible diagnostic and treatment approaches.
He strongly believes that we should never forget our history and where we came from. This mantra is clear in Dr. Powers professional interests and the services he provides. While he primarily focuses on his passions of equine sports medicine and reproduction, he still sees the occasional back yard sheep, goat, donkey, and cows.
Dr. Stephanie Helinger is originally from St. Petersburg, FL, and has a comprehensive background in animal science and equine care. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Florida in 2010, followed by an M.S. in Equine Nutrition and Exercise Physiology in 2011. After completing grad school, Dr. Helinger went to work for PHD Veterinary Services, traveling all over the state of Florida assisting in all aspects of equine veterinary care.
