Dr. Tyler Powers, DVM, EVMM

Dr. Tyler Powers grew up on a cow-calf ranch in Grayling, MI, and obtained his BS in Agriculture and Animal Science at Michigan State University in 2016. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Powers went on to receive his Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2020. After graduation, he opted to head back home where he worked as a mixed-animal veterinarian servicing beef and dairy farms of all sizes in addition to horses, goats and small animals. In late 2021, he moved back to Florida to join our veterinary team.

Dr. Powers professional and medical focuses have continued to evolve to be able to provide the highest level of medicine for our clients. In 2023, he obtained his EVMM (equine chiropractic) degree from the esteemed Chi University, and has pursued extensive continuing education and training in equine lameness and sports medicine. He prides himself in taking a unique approach to lameness that combines traditional modalities with state of the art therapies to provide the best possible diagnostic and treatment approaches.

He strongly believes that we should never forget our history and where we came from. This mantra is clear in Dr. Powers professional interests and the services he provides. While he primarily focuses on his passions of equine sports medicine and reproduction, he still sees the occasional back yard sheep, goat, donkey, and cows.
